  Towbars 
Towbex as a family run business have been established since 1986. We are the approved fitting agents for most car dealers in the Sussex area. We supply Witter, Westfalia and Thule Brink towbars and offer a range of flange towbars, swan neck towbars, detachable towbars and retractable towbars all with a lifetime guarantee. These towbars are usually the manufacturers specified original equipment. We also supply Tow-Trust, PCT, and for the obscure vehicle Watling Towbars. Our electrical Kits range from Westfalia dedicated wiring kits (O.E for Audi VW Skoda etc) to PCT Interface by-pass relays and all carry a 3-year warranty

Mobile Fitting Service

Our mobile units cover a 25-mile radius of the Worthing / Brighton area. Our mobile fitters can fully install towbar and electrics to most vehicles. Vehicles demanding dedicated wiring kits and re-coding is preferred at our workshop in Lancing

We stock Towbar & trailer accessories in our shop, and we have a small waiting room where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and wi-fi access. Be warned though towbar installation can take up to 3 hrs on some vehicles, but we are close to Brooklands Park or Lancing town and Worthing town centre is only 5 minutes away by bus.

We currently offer a £20.00 discount if you bring your vehicle to our workshop in Lancing. We are fully equipped to install towbars to any vehicle and have the diagnostic equipment to re-code the vehicle after installation if required

Our diagnostic equipment allows us to re-code vehicles at a fraction of the cost of the dealer. This is essential on vehicles such as Audi, VW, Skoda, and Mercedes. In fact more and more vehicles are coming out with safety features such as Trailer Stability Programs which require coding to enable these systems to work.

If you fit your own towbar & dedicated wiring, or other companies that do not have access to the specialised coding tool, we are happy to re-code your vehicle. We charge £50.00 + vat.

Cycle Carriers
Cycle carriers

We are agents for Thule, Maxxraxx and Witter cycle carriers. We have these on display in our waiting room, so that you can decide which one is better for you. Our cycle racks range from 2 bikes to 5 bike carriers.

Park Aids
Reverse sensors

Our reverse sensors are top quality Valeo products ranging from a basic 4 rear bumper sensors to visual display front & rear sensors and camera parking aids. We can usually offer discount if you have reverse sensors fitted in conjunction with a towbar, as some of the work (bumper removal) would be done.

We are looking for mobile towbar fitters. Some mechanical and electrical knowledge is essential. Training will be given at our workshop until a high standard of workmanship is attained. A clean driving licence will be required.
